Diana Fay Hartzell, 65, of Virginia Beach, Va., died Thursday in Norfolk, Va.

A native of Tunnelton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Hoffman. She worked in child care in different churches.

She is survived by her husband, Deck F. Hartzell; two daughters, Cindy Hartzell and her partner, Michelle Meyers, of Portsmouth, Va., and Christy Shack and her husband, William, of Norfolk, Va.; a son, James Hartzell and his fiancee, Courtney, of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandsons, James Alexander Hartzell and James Atticus Hartzell; and her brother, W.Wade Hoffman, his wife, Michelle, and their daughter, Melissa, of Green Valley, Ariz.
