Gary Anderson

Anderson

Gary D. Anderson, 67, of Penn Township, Butler, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, Aug. 26, 2026, at his home.

Born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 1, 1958, he was the son of Doris Grissell Anderson and the late Chad Anderson.

Gary had been an electronics technician for Verizon.

He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed riding with his friends. He was a talented guitar player and shared that gift with his sons. A beautiful singer, Gary had played in several bands with his friends.

He took pride in his yard and gardens and his John Deere tractor. Gary could fix about anything.

He could often be seen sitting out in front of his garage, listening to the Pirates games with Donna and sharing a cold one with whoever stopped by.

Sunday afternoons were spent with the Haymont Drive Garage Gang — his best friends, Mark, Steve, Dan, Tom, Larry and whoever else stopped in.

Surviving are the love of his life, Donna Mack Anderson, to whom he was married for 36 years; his sons, Scott Anderson (Colleen), of Pittsburgh, and Eric Anderson, of Butler; his mother, Doris Anderson, of Gibsonia; and his sisters, Lynn Ross (Bill) and Lori Wharrey, both of Gibsonia.
