Clarence R. Walter

Clarence R. Walter, 98, of Gibsonia, formerly of Pine Township, died Monday morning at Shady Oaks Personal Care Home in Richland Township.

Born in McCandless Township on Dec. 3, 1909, he was the son of William C. and Elizabeth Kuhler Walter.

He attended Clifford B. Connolly Trade School after working at North Park. He worked at the Mines Safety Appliance Co. in Callery as a maintenance electrician during World War II, after which he worked as a self-employed electrician until he retired in 1990.

He was a member of the Gospel Fellowship Church, P.C.A. in Valencia, A.A.R.P., and a life member of the Valencia Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Elsie Kidd Walter, whom he married June 22, 1938; a nephew, Robert Kennedy of Glenshaw, a grand-nephew and two grand nieces.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Kennedy, and a niece, Carole Seatz.

Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
