Helen L. Robinson

Helen L. Robinson, 85, formerly of East Brady, died Friday at Woodland Place in Mercer.

She was born May 3, 1923, in East Brady, a daughter of Charles L. and Mabel E. Hiwillier Corle.

Mrs. Robinson was a 1940 graduate of East Brady High School. She worked at the former Ben Franklin 5 & 10 Store in East Brady and also worked in sales for Tupperware.

She was a member of United Methodist Church in East Brady and was a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendent.

Mrs. Robinson was an active Rotarian in the former East Brady Rotary Club. She was a volunteer worker for the Republican Party and a Clarion County voter registration worker. She was also a collection volunteer for the American Heart Association.

She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, doing cross stitch and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond H. Robinson of Woodland Place in Mercer, who she married May 14, 1941; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Hopkins of Purcell, Mo., and Kathleen R. Bordell and her husband, Charles, of Hermitage; and one sister, Mary E. Hillwig of Chicora. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Ann Robinson; one son, Edward Carl Robinson; two brothers, Aubrey F. and William W. Corle; and one infant grandchild.

<B>Robinson </B>— Friends of Helen L. Robinson, who died Friday, May 23, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church in East Brady with the Rev. Richard Russell officiating.Burial at Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg will be private.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 110 W. 10th St., Erie, PA 16501.
