Robert L. Hood
Robert L. Hood, 91, of Valencia died Monday at his home.
Born Feb. 16, 1917, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Robert and Catherine Yeske Hood.
Mr. Hood had been the supervisor of electrical sales for Gray Bar Electric of Pittsburgh. After retiring from Gray Bar Electric, he worked for Allied Electric in Butler. He was a Thirty Second Degree Mason and a Boy Scout leader. He also enjoyed farming and had belonged to the Cooperstown Grange.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Jansen and her husband, Joseph of Middlesex Township; a son, Larry J. Hood and his wife, Carolyn of Monroeville, Ala.; two grandsons, Robert Hood of Florida and Ken Hood of Portland, Ore.; two great-grandchildren, William andElla Hood; and a half-brother, Milton Hood of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Kay Garmen Hood, who he married July 31, 1942, and who died July 25, 2006; a sister, Helen Hirt; and a brother, Harry Hood.
<B>HOOD </B>— Friends of Robert L. Hood, who died Monday, May 26, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with his grandson, the Rev.
