Gene Edward Raub, 70, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Sarver, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 20, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 18, 1940, in Sarver to William and Esther Parsons Raub.

He was a retired carpenter in Florida.

His favorite pastimes were golfing, fishing and always coming home to hunt deer in Sarver.

Surviving are his wife, Donna; children, Jody, Robyn and Randy; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Margaret (Melvin) Harvey of Sarver, Patricia (George) Klaus of Butler, Glenn (Mary) Raub of Cabot, Harold Raub of Sarver, David (Sis) Raub of Warren, Ohio, and Susan (Larry) Brink, of Sarver; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Bill and Dale; and two sisters, Anna Louise and Charlotte.
