Gerstner

Eric J. Gerstner, 37, of Newark, Ohio, passed away Wednesday at his home.

Eric was born in Butler, May 16, 1972, the son of John W. Gerstner and Ellen J. (Murdick) Blair.

He worked as a sous chef and night manager at the Cherry Valley Lodge in Newark, Ohio.

Eric is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ellen and Tim Blair of West Lafayette, Ohio; his father and stepmother, John W. and Linda Gerstner of Emlenton; three stepbrothers; one stepsister; his maternal grandmother, Leah Murdick; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Earl Murdick; and his paternal grandparents, John and Kay Gerstner.
