Wanda L. Kirschner
Wanda L. Kirschner, 86, of Hilliards passed away at 4 a.m. Wednesday at her home.
She was born Feb. 22, 1924, in St. Charles, Clarion County. She was the daughter of the late James Blakney and Mabel Nellie Wolfe Blakney.
She was a member of the Boyers United Methodist Church, where she was the organist.
In her early years, she had worked in the office at Ideal Bakery in Grove City. She also was a secretary for Pittsburgh Limestone and retired in February 1986 from the Office of Personnel Management in Boyers, where she was a claims examiner for 16 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Don (Jan) Rider of Boyers and Mrs. Dennis (LuAnn) Michael of Hilliards; and one son, Jim Kirschner of Hilliards. Four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kirschner, who passed away Aug. 4, 2004.
<B>KIRSCHNER</B> — Friends of Wanda L. Kirschner, who died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Corner, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Old Annandale Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boyers United Methodist Church.
