Maddalon

Margaret M. Maddalon, 89, of Zelienople, formerly of McKees Rocks, died Friday at the Ellwood City Hospital.

Born Nov. 20, 1917, in Kennedy Township, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of Charles L. and Eleanor Rosenwald Populo.

Mrs. Maddalon was a member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, Zelienople.

She formerly was a co-owner of Union Beverage and the Ken-Mar Cab Co. in McKees Rocks. She also had been an an assistant at the Zelienople Library and at the Senior Citizens Center at the Calvin Presbyterian Church in Zelienople.

She enjoyed bingo and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Joseph C. Maddalon and his wife, Kathleen, of Zelienople; a brother and a sister, Joseph and Jean Anne Populo, both of McKees Rocks, three grandchildren, David Maddalon and his wife, Amy, and Joseph Maddalon Jr. and his wife, Marybeth, all of Cranberry Township, and Melissa Maddalon of Zelienople; and two great-grandchildren; Connor and Andrew Maddalon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Maddalon, who died Jan. 16, 1988; four sisters, and two brothers.
