Callihan

John T. Callihan, 65, of Azusa, Calif., died Feb. 15.

Born June 3, 1941, in Butler, he was the son of the late John Herbert and Helen Uenking Callihan of Butler.

He was a 1961 graduate of Butler High School, and he had attended technical school for safe and locksmith repair.

He owned and operated the Valley Locksmith business in Glendora, Calif., for 25 years, and he taught classes for Briggs and Stratton. He later worked for the Lockheed Aeronautical Co., from which he retired.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His love of the outdoors brought him to volunteer for the California Department of Fish and Game and the Department of Forestry. He was a member of the Downey's Fly-fishing group.

Surviving are his wife, Leonida Frayna Callihan; two daughters, Kellie of California, and Dana of Nevada; two stepsons, James and Kevin Ibanez, both of California; three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Ida) Grove of West Middlesex, Mrs. Dean (Loretta) Schnur of Butler, and Carol Gregor of Butler; two brothers, James "Fran" Callihan, and Joseph "Hal" Callihan, both of Butler; four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, a brother preceded him in death.

<B>Callihan</B> — Funeral services for John T. Callihan, who died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, were Feb. 24 at the Church of Our Heritage with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Mullen officiated.
