Helen L. Sweeney, 81, of Butler died Wednesday at Saxony Health Center.

Born Nov. 14, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of William Nesbitt Faust and Olie Young Faust.

She had worked as a clerk for Allegheny County's WIC program. She was a member of Cabot United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three sons, Thomas C. Sweeney and his wife, Denise, of Forest Hill, Md., Wayne A. Sweeney and his wife, Chantelle, of Butler, and Robert C. Sweeney and his wife, Heather, of Harrisburg; one daughter, Anita R. Cothern and her husband, Jeff, of Galena, Ohio; her sister, Carol Yocum and her husband, Dick, of Spring City, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband,Walter Woodrow Sweeney, on July 17, 1967.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
