Fetterman puts country first, party second
The April 2 edition of the Butler Eagle opinion page (Page 4) showed a cartoon depicting a line of Democrats who want to run against Sen. John Fetterman.
Sen. Fetterman has on several occasions failed to support his party’s position in key votes in the U.S Senate and during interviews on national media. (These positions include closing the southern border, ending the government shutdown and supporting the war to curtail Iran’s ability to launch a nuclear weapon.)
Sen. Fetterman has repeatedly stated that he votes for country first and party second. He is now in the Democrat’s “dog house,” and by his own admission, he is being shunned by members of his own party. Apparently, voting country first, party second, is opposed by many members of his own party.
Sen. John Fetterman is a true patriot who votes to support our country regardless of who is president. Discrediting President Donald Trump is not his primary objective.
