On July 12, my daughter was in a horrific automobile accident on Freeport Road, Marshall Township in Allegheny County. She was critically injured, entrapped in the vehicle and losing blood.

Had the following departments not responded as quickly as they did, my daughter would have certainly died: Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company; Marshall Township firefighters; Wexford Volunteer Fire Company; Adams Area Fire District; Northern Regional Police and the Pennsylvania State Police. I apologize if I failed to include other first responders.

My family and I would like to profoundly thank all responders who were directly responsible for saving my daughter’s life that day. Without you, she wouldn’t be with us now. I apologize for this late acknowledgment, but this incident is painful to recall.

James Knights,

Adams Township
