Dems urge Bernstine to resign
The Butler County Democratic Committee calls on state Rep. Aaron Bernstine to resign immediately following reports of a slur-filled public outburst.
Homophobia has no place in our public institutions. Conduct that would be unacceptable in any workplace should never be excused in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Our communities deserve a representative who can work with colleagues and treat people with dignity and respect.
We stand in solidarity with state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta and our LGBTQIA+ neighbors. You deserve leadership that respects you and protects your right to be heard.
We urge voters in Lawrence and Butler counties’ Pa. House District 8 to vote for Rick Telesz for state representative. Rick is focused on better wages, good-paying jobs, strong public schools, lower costs for working families, affordable healthcare, essential services and making big corporations pay their fair share.
While Bernstine seeks attention through insults, families need someone focused on solving problems.
Resign, Aaron. If you refuse, we will replace you at the ballot box with an honorable man, Rick Telesz.
Donald J. Vigliotti, MD, Chairman,
Butler County Democratic Committee
