Leonard Farr Jr.
Leonard “Len” Farr Jr., 78, of Butler, passed away Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026.
He was born in Mobile, Ala. on March 9, 1947, to the late Leonard Sr. and Lillie (Kennard) Farr. Len served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He attended Butler County Community College and after 27 years, retired from Callery Chemical Division of Mine Safety Appliances.
Len was known for his great sense of humor, massive sweet tooth and was never afraid to speak his mind. He was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. Len enjoyed fishing and sitting on the porch listening to music. In his younger years, he was involved in Cub Scouts and coached pee-wee baseball for his sons.
Len was the beloved husband of Jane (Beach) Farr, since their marriage on Oct. 22, 1969; father of Jody (Amy) Farr, Jeremy (Marcy) Farr and Sarah (Robert) Kasenter; and grandfather of Nathan, Maura, Ryan, Amanda and Matthew. He is also survived by his dog, Philby.
Along with his parents, Len was preceded in death by his siblings, Maryann Eaker, Dorothy Hadad and Ruth Higdon.
FARR — All services for Leonard “Len” Farr Jr., who died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
Burial was held privately.
