Evelyn M. Danyla
Evelyn M. Danyla, 81, formerly of the Sunbury Fields Apartments, died Friday at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
Born Aug. 11, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of David J. Halligan and Marie Springel Halligan Rockey.
Mrs. Danyla was a retired bookkeeper and had been employed by PGA golf professional Paul Biggy for more than 18 years.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Her husband, Andrew "Andy" Danyla Jr., whom she married Aug. 30, 1947, died June 23, 1992.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Maze of Freedom; a brother: Charles Rockey of Pittsburgh; two granddaughters, Dana M. Maze of Valencia and Mrs. Jared (Michelle K.) Heymann of Durham, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, David Halligan and Richard and Robert Rockey; and a sister, Mary Margaret Schacht, preceded her in death.
<B>DANYLA </B>— Friends of Evelyn M. Danyla, who died Friday, June 22, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St. Burial will follow at the Highwood Cemetery, Pittsburgh.The St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Passavant Retirement Community, 401 S.
