James Earl Mortimer
James Earl Mortimer, 61, of Evans City passed away at 4:45 a.m. Friday at his home after a two-year battle with cancer.
He was born Aug. 19, 1948, in Butler, the son of the late Earl Mortimer and the late Alice (Hall) Mortimer.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a veteran of the Army, having served during the Vietnam War.
Surviving are his wife, Renell (Dickey) Mortimer, who he married May 29, 1986; a sister, Donna Leon of Butler; his mother-in-law, Nellie Dickey, who lived with them; three nephews, Jason Krom, Brett Leon and Michael Dickey; and two nieces, Julie Drake and Lisa Grossman.
