Thursday — Tyler B. Kern, 25, of Clearfield Township was charged with banging on the doors, climbing up a ladder and throwing rocks at the windows of a family member’s apartment on Oak Street shortly after 5 a.m. Dec. 10.

The victim told police that she previously advised Kern that he is not allowed at her home, according to court documents.

Kern is charged with loitering and prowling at night, and disorderly conduct.

10:37 p.m. Sunday — Maria Wroblewski, 41, of Portersville was hurt when a deer ran into her car on Route 19 near Little Creek Road.

Police said Wroblewski was taken by Harmony EMS ambulance to UPMC Passavant in Cranberry Township with unknown injuries.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]

3:33 a.m. Saturday — David Weitzel, 35, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana on the 100 block of Pillow Street in Butler. Police said they also found him with suspected marijuana and other drug contraband.

Weitzel was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Charges are pending toxicology results.

Saturday — Police reported that a 38-year-old Center Township woman was apparently conned out of $300 in a suspected online sales scam Nov. 30.

The unknown thief, according to a police report, used a Facebook account to sell an Apple iPhone to the woman, But upon receiving the payment, the suspect blocked the victim’s contact information.

5:44 p.m. Friday — A Pittsburgh woman was hurt in a one-vehicle rollover wreck in northern Butler County. Mariah A. Mullen, 21, of Pittsburgh, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries.

Police said Mullen was traveling south on Interstate 79 when she drove off the left berm. While trying to steer back, she lost control and drove off the left side of the road, according to a police report, rolling into the median.

Mullen was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.

9:18 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Dakota S. Gray, 22 of Lyndora rear-ended another car on Route 68 in Connoquenessing. The other driver, Barry J. McCall, 38, of Butler, was slowing when he was hit from behind.

Neither driver was injured but Gray’s car had to be towed. Police cited Gray for following too closely to another vehicle.

2 a.m. Friday — Jesse C. Kastelic, 23, of Clay Township was arrested on charges he was impaired on drugs and alcohol after taking a sport utility vehicle from a Route 8 bar in Clay Township without the owner’s permission.

Police allege Kastelic later returned to the car and attempted to flee but was caught. The defendant, according to court documents, admitted that he had consumed both alcohol and cocaine.

He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results are pending.

Kastelic was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence, unauthorized use of a vehicle, resisting arrest, flight to avoid apprehension or prosecution, disorderly conduct and driving with a suspended license-DUI related. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail following arraignment.

5:22 p.m. Dec. 12 — Sheila M. Geibel, 57, of Butler was cited for following too closely after her car struck the back of another car on Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Vincent J. Desantis, 38, of Butler was the other driver. No one was hurt but both cars had to be towed.

7:57 a.m. Dec. 12 — An unknown driver crashed a vehicle on Mahood Road in Clay Township and fled the scene. The suspected hit-and-run vehicle sustained damage to its passenger side headlight.

Dec. 12 — An unknown thief stole several items from an unlocked vehicle on Williams Pointe Drive in Forward Township. The theft happened between 3:22 and 3:53 a.m.

Dec. 12 — Someone cut the cooling hose that was under the hood of a truck on Marigold Lane in Brady Township. Police have no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.

Dec. 2 — Three mailboxes were reported destroyed along Keister Road in Slippery Rock Township. Police have no suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

10:14 p.m. Dec. 3 — A Westmoreland County man was arrested for drunken driving after he crashed his car over an embankment and into a group of trees on Victory Road at Spring Valley Road in Clinton Township.

Police said they believe the defendant, Donald G. Petersen, 38, of Vandergrift, was driving too fast on the icy road when he wrecked. He also indicated impairment during field sobriety testing, according to police.

Petersen was subsequently taken to the barracks for a breath test, documents said, that showed his blood-alcohol was 0.126 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

He is charged with DUI, driving too fast for conditions, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.

[naviga:h3]State Police, Mercer[/naviga:h3]

Thursday — Police reported they are investigating the alleged sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl in December 2015 in Worth Township.

According to the report, a 22-year-old man had indecent assault with the girl. Police provided no other information about the investigation.

Dec. 10 — Christopher D. Hartman, 38, and Ashley M. Hartman, 32, both of Mercer were charged in connection with a shoplifting incident last month at the Premium Outlets in Springfield Township.

Police said they found the defendants with $454.79 in stolen merchandise following a traffic stop about 6:05 p.m. Nov. 29 on Route 208 at the Interstate 79 on-ramp in Springfield Township. The alleged stolen goods were from Old Navy, Adidas, Vanity Fair, Nautica and Under Armour. Both Hartmans are charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.
