1:05 p.m. Wednesday - A 15-year-old Butler boy was injured when his bicycle collided with a mini-van at Miller Avenue and Brady Street.Michael Cervone was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with abrasions to his right shoulder.Police said the teen was riding a bicycle south on Miller Street when the bike's brakes failed. The bike traveled into the intersection and struck the passenger side of a Ford Aerostar driven by Kimberly Montgomery, 38, of Hilliards, that was traveling west on Brady Street.An inspection of the bike found mechanical problems with the front and rear brakes. No charges were filed in the crash.

Friday - Robert Crawford Jr., 46, of Forestville was charged with harassment by communication after violating his probation in an incident with a resident on Craig Street. He was arrested on a warrant and placed in Mercer County Jail.July 8 - Scott Werley, 34, of Conneaut Lake was charged with writing a bad check for $460 to Maxwell Auto Services for the purchase of a 1977 Cadillac.

11:35 a.m. Wednesday - A vehicle driven by George Curl, no age given, of West Sunbury struck a truck tractor parked on Route 38 in Eau Claire. Curl and a passenger in his vehicle, Tyler Drzemiecki, no age given, of West Sunbury, were taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.Wednesday - Five air hoses, five extension cords, and two power saws were taken from a toolbox at a construction site at Brandywine Village in Connoquenessing Township. The theft occurred between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday.11 a.m. Tuesday - Two men, whom police did not identify, are suspected of burglarizing a Shannon Drive home in Connoquenessing Township, taking two pistols and $60.Friday - A laptop computer valued at $250 was taken during a garage sale at the Davis Road home of Shawn McKissick in East Butler.

8:20 p.m. Monday - A dozen illegal immigrants traveling from Los Angeles to New York were arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. The suspects, from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and the Dominican Republic, were turned over to federal immigration authorities.
