10:34 p.m. Friday — Timothy Lang, 27, is accused of assaulting his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at his West Brady Street home. Lang was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.8:24 p.m. Friday — Richard A. Hilins Jr., 53, is accused of slapping and punching his 12-year-old child during a domestic dispute at his Slagle Avenue home. Hilins was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.7:34 a.m. Friday — A van driven by Ronald Wiles, 44, of West Sunbury and a car driven by Tyler Dunbar, 18, of Summit Township collided at East Jefferson and Linden streets.
May 3 — Police filed drugged driving and other charges against Samantha Yoder, 28, of Cranberry Township stemming from a traffic stop last month on Route 228 near Brickyard Road.Police said they pulled over Yoder's sport utility vehicle after seeing it several times cross over the fog line on the side of the road.An officer upon speaking to her suspected she was under the influence, according to court documents. He also reported that an infant was in a child safety seat in back of the SUV.Yoder allowed the officer to search her purse, which turned up a bag of marijuana, police said. Two drug pipes also were found in the vehicle's center console. A blood test later determined she had marijuana in her system, documents said.Police charged Yoder with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, child endangerment, driving with a suspended license-DUI related, disregarding traffic lanes, driving with a broken brake light, possession of a small amount or marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Monday — Police filed drug-related charges against Tokin L. Roy 31, of Butler who was allegedly caught last week with suspected crack cocaine and other contraband after the car he was riding in ran out of gas on Route 422.Police said about 5:05 p.m. Wednesday they found Roy walking on the side of the road, apparently on his way to buy gas. Authorities suspect he was under the influence of drugs.While speaking to Roy, an officer noticed he was using one of his feet to push down a pant leg and sock, according to court documents. The officer looked closer and noticed a plastic baggie protruding from the sock.Police searched the baggie and found it contained suspected crack. Roy also admitted, documents said, that a crack pipe and electronic scale left behind in the car belonged to him.Roy is charged with possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness.Monday — Police charged John D. Hudec, 40, of Cranberry Township for allegedly passing a forged prescription March 19 at the Target store in Butler Commons. The suspected phony prescription was for 60 pills of Adderall, a drug commonly used to treat hyperactivity.Hudec is charged with forgery, fraudulent acquisition of a controlled substance, identity theft, and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.5:10 p.m. Friday — A pickup driven by a Bruin boy and a car driven by Dale Hetrick, 54, of Worthington, Armstrong County, collided on Route 8 South at the Days Inn. Hetrick suffered minor injuries. The boy, who police did not identify, was cited for making an improper left turn.
10:30 p.m. Friday — The soap dispensers in both the men's and women's restrooms near the basketball courts in Grove City Memorial Park were found damaged. Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.
May 4 — A Seneca Valley High School student faces a criminal charge after authorities found two knives in his car at the school. Administrators seized the knives and called police.The suspect, Joshua A. Dourlain, 18, of Harmony, admitted the knives were his, but that he had forgotten they were in the vehicle when he went to school. He called it an "honest mistake," according to his statement to police.According to a court document, police said they believed Dourlain "clearly had no intention of using these weapons on any persons while attending school."Regardless, he is charged with possession of weapons on school property, a first-degree misdemeanor.
3:56 a.m. Saturday — David W. Olesnevich, 29, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck crashed on Winfield Road in North Buffalo Township.
11:30 p.m. Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Daryl A. Allison, 53, of Harrisville crashed into a ditch on North Liberty Road near Schmidt Road in Pine Township. He fled the scene of the crash, police said.Allison later was found and cited for failing to immediately notify police of an accident and for a lane violation.
