6:24 p.m. Saturday - A car driven by Jennifer Bishop, 16, of Oakland Township and a sport utility vehicle driven by Michael Lepore, 71, of 459 Brown Ave. collided at East Jefferson and McKean streets. Bishop was cited for a traffic signal violation.6:26 p.m. Friday - Steven Rochon, 51, of 327½ E. Jefferson St. was arrested for driving under the influence after his vehicle struck the rear of a car on West Cunningham Street. Sandy Geither, 50, of Oakland Township was driving the car.
11:13 p.m. Friday - The engine compartment of a car driven by Sara Brand, 21, of Tyrone caught fire while traveling on Route 422 at Route 8. Brand drove the car to the Bon Aire Plaza parking lot, where an employee at one of the stores came out with an extinguisher and put out the fire. No injuries were reported.5:45 p.m. Friday - A car driven by Jeffrey Sleigher, 28, of Butler and a pickup truck driven by Donald Matykavisch, 41, of Boyers collided at Route 8 and Hansen Avenue. Sleigher, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.
7:23 p.m. June 19 - Police received a report from BiLo on Mill Street that 48 cans of baby formula were taken. The suspected thieves are two white males wearing jeans. One of the men was bald with tattoos on his forearm; the other was wearing a bandana on his head and had a goatee.June 15 - Nicholas Perry Jr., 43, of 401 North St. was charged with writing bad checks. The charge stems from a $100 bad check issued on April 23 to the Grove City Borough.June 6 - A rhododendron was reported stolen from 144 N. Broad St. The plant is valued at $45.
9:25 p.m. Sunday - A van driven by Adam Geibel, 20, of Butler and a car driven by Charlene Janke, 18, of Slippery Rock collided at the Peter Rabbit Trailer Court in Brady Township.2:25 a.m. Sunday - Matthew Mitchell, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Routes 8 and 308 in Center Township.Sunday - Kevin Travaglio of Hilliards reported two Carvin subwoofers valued at $1,400 were taken between 12:30 and 1:10 a.m. from his truck on Grossman Road in Clay Township.3:36 p.m. Saturday - Elaine Myers, 62, of Butler was arrested for allegedly taking a bracelet at the Boscov's store, Clearview Mall in Center Township. Myers is charged with retail theft.Saturday - Eight tires and five rims were taken from trucks at Ram Transit Lines at the Victory Industrial Park in Clinton Township. The property, valued at $3,275, was taken between 6 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.Saturday - An amplifier was reported taken from a vehicle parked at the William Flynn Highway home of Christopher Vanistendael in Mercer Township.2:15 p.m. Friday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Donna Thomas, 19, of East Brady, Clarion County, veered off Route 268 in Donegal Township, struck three small trees and rolled over, landing on its wheels. Thomas, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries.Friday - Two armoires, three dressers, two beds, three tables, a shotgun and a rifle were taken in a burglary between 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. Friday at a Perry Highway home in Muddy Creek Township. Ronald Onderick of Harrison City, Westmoreland County, owns the stolen property.7:30 p.m. Thursday - Seven people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Route 8 near Stamm Road in Slippery Rock Township.The crash occurred when cars driven by Douglas Wetzel, 19, of Valencia and Joseph Janidlo III, 40, of Franklin, Venango County, collided in the northbound lane. Wetzel's vehicle traveled into the opposite lane and struck a southbound car driven by Heather Young, 21, of Harrisville.Young and Daniel Frye, 41, of Butler, a passenger in her car, both wearing seatbelts, suffered moderate injuries. Wetzel and Janidlo, both wearing seatbelts, suffered minor injuries.Also suffering minor injuries were passengers in the Janidlo vehicle, including Margaret Janidlo, 40; Joseph Janidlo IV, 14; Emilee Janidlo, 11; and Natalie Janidlo, 1, all of Franklin. All passengers were wearing seatbelts; the youngest child was in a safety seat.
