Jay G. Wiles, 65, of Petrolia passed away at 11:32 p.m. Saturday at Allegheny General Hospital following a sudden fall.

He was born March 4, 1945, in Parsonville. He was the son of the late Wilbert Michael Wiles and Laura Laverne Bell Wiles.

He had been a conductor at Pullman Standard Railroad Manufacturing until its closing.

He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Slagle Wiles, who he married March 19, 1965; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Tracy) Grasha and Brenda Wiles, both of West Sunbury; two sons, Ronald J. Wiles and his wife, Lori, and Wilbert Michael Wiles, all of West Sunbury; and five grandchildren, Grant Grasha, Hayden Grasha, Jay Michael Wiles, Lauren Wiles and Wilbert Michael "Mikey" Wiles Jr.; one sister, Lydia Wiles and one brother, Robert "Leroy" Wiles, both of Petrolia; and his mother-in-law, Louise Slagle of Bruin. Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
