Medical helicopter called for Monday crash in Penn Township
A medical helicopter was requested for a two-vehicle crash between a tractor-trailer and a car Monday morning, Sept. 28, in Penn Township, according to Butler County Emergency Services dispatch.
The call came in at 6:38 a.m. near the intersection of Pittsburgh and Airport roads, according to dispatch recordings. One person was reported to need medical evaluation when emergency responders arrived.
Butler Ambulance Service took the patient to the nearby airport to meet AHN LifeFlight, according to dispatch recordings, and they were flown to Allegheny General Hospital.
Emergency services restricted traffic to one lane in the area, according to dispatch recordings. The incident was terminated at 7:45 a.m.
Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department and Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Company also responded.
