Hussar

Anthony S. Hussar, 91, of Zelienople passed away Saturday in the VA Butler Healthcare.

Born Nov. 6, 1918, in Zelienople, he was the son of the late Andrew and Rose Abraham Hussar.

Mr. Hussar was a member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople.

He was retired from J&L Steel in Aliquippa.

He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Evans City-Harmony VFW Post 499, a life member of the Mars VFW Post 7505 and a member of American Legion Post 0512 of Unionville, Beaver County. He also was a member of the Hungarian Club of Zelienople.

Mr. Hussar was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. Gaal Hussar in 1971, three brothers and one sister.

He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda (Tim) Walker of Zelienople; three sons, Kip (Connie) Hussar of Gresham, Ore., Dennis (Vicki) Hussar of Zelienople and Kevin Hussar of Zelienople; grandchildren, Megan and Noah Hussar of Oregon, Jason Bankert of Fombell, Alexa Hussar of Virginia, Brett (Jennie) Walker of Vermont and Ian Walker of Zelienople; and a man's best friend, Bandit.

<B>HUSSAR</B> — Friends and relatives of Anthony S. Hussar who died Saturday, April 10, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church in Zelienople with Father Robert Miller, his pastor, officiating.
