Michele Marie Perez, 39, of Hooker passed away at 8:57 p.m. Sunday at West Penn Hospital of complications from myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).

She was born Oct. 16, 1970, in Hollywood, Fla. She was the daughter of William W. Hockenberry II and Judith K. Bohling Hockenberry.

She was a member of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church.

She was employed at Mine Safety in Cranberry Township and at St. Jude's Golf Course.

She was the coordinator for Butler Singles Dance. Her interests included reading, movies, eating out and shopping. She loved her family, children and pets.

She is survived by her parents, William and Judith Hockenberry II of Slippery Rock; her daughter, Tiffany Jo Perez, at home; one sister, Megan Bashline and her husband, Travis, of Parker; two brothers, William Hockenberry III and his wife, Sherry, of Cranberry Township and Ken Rub of Washington, D.C.; her father, Ralph Perez of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; special friend, Brian Wieczorek of Sarver; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

<B>PEREZ</B> — Friends of Michele Marie Perez, who died Sunday, April 11, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Wednesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Boyd Edmondson, pastor of the Marienville Presbyterian Church and the former pastor of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church, officiating.
