Evelyn M. Maley

Evelyn M. Maley, 78, of Karns City, near Fairview, died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday at her home following an extended illness.

She was born in Karns City, Oct. 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Joseph W. Crawford and the late Myrtle Moore Crawford.

Mrs. Maley worked at the Ekas Grocery Store in Karns City for a few years and then worked in the office of the Kinkaid Coal Mine, Karns City, where she was a secretary for several years.

She was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend. She was a member of the former St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Sugarcreek Township, where she formerly belonged to the Altar-Rosary group of the church.

Surviving are her husband, Glenn L. Maley, who she married July 19, 1952; two daughters, Dianne Sinz and her husband, Jeffrey, of Chicora and Deborah L. Maley of Karns City; a son, Bruce Maley of Butler; and three grandchildren, Blaine, Benjamin and Anna Sinz.

She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Maley, who died Jan. 1, 1992.

<B>MALEY</B> — Friends of Evelyn M. Maley, who died Saturday, April 3, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, Chicora. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, State Route 68, Bradys Bend, with the Rev. Ron Cyktor, pastor, officiating.
