Mars Area School Board will hold a special board meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, in the Mars Area High School LGI Room.

Jon Thomas, of Thomas & Williamson, will offer an update to the Mars Area School District Enrollment and Capacity Study, originally presented to the board on March 29, as well as revised options for the district to consider relative to future construction projects.

The Enrollment & Capacity Study, or “feasibility study,” was initiated in Fall 2022 to study current enrollment projections and capacity levels at district buildings, specifically Mars Area Primary Center and Mars Area Elementary School.

As part of the March 29 presentation, Thomas offered recommendations for accommodating the anticipated growth of the district’s student population, which may include plans to expand certain buildings.
