With Veterans Day coming up on Wednesday, Nov. 11, school districts in Butler County are planning to honor those who have served our nation.

This includes Ehrman Crest Middle School, which is hosting a veterans recognition breakfast Tuesday, Nov. 10. The breakfast will consist of about 40 veterans along with the students who invited them as their special guests.

The ECMS band will perform “The Star-Spangled Banner,” along with a playing of taps. Veterans will be honored through student-published poems and handwritten letters about veterans. The breakfast will also include a presentation featuring names and photos of local veterans followed by performances by the ECMS Orchestra and chorus.
