2 more involved in Fairview Twp. burglary, police said

State police have accused two additional teens of participating in a burglary and theft of a PlayStation 5 from a Fairview Township home earlier this month.

Brady T. Ealy, 19, of Parker, and Ansley J. Lauer, 18, of Karns City, were charged Wednesday, June 21, with conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary, criminal trespass. Ealy additionally was charged with felonies robbery, burglary, criminal trespass and misdemeanor theft.

A third suspect, Aiden J. McKinley, 18, of Butler, was charged June 5 with burglary, robbery, criminal trespass, simple assault, theft and criminal mischief after police were able to link him to the June 4 incident via Facebook photos of a prominent hand tattoo.

Police said they responded to a report of a robbery at 4:34 a.m. June 4. The witness told officers he was playing video games on his PlayStation 5 when McKinley entered the house through a locked door.

Later reports said Ealy and McKinley entered the residence, but Ealy stayed in the kitchen the majority of the time.

McKinley allegedly punched the witness in the face four times and left with the PlayStation 5, police said.

A TV was damaged during the incident, according to the affidavit.

The witness told officers he identified McKinley by his voice, viewing part of his face and a tattoo on McKinley’s left hand he observed during the assault. Police later confirmed McKinley’s identity using Facebook photos of his tattoo.

When interviewed by police, McKinley said he and Lauer picked up Ealy around 1 a.m. June 4 to have a bonfire. Ealy later reported that he brought multiple alcoholic beverages to Lauer’s home, and McKinley discussed robbing someone, documents showed.

Lauer reported driving Ealy and McKinley to a residence and acting as the “getaway car,” police said.

McKinley and Lauer told police they dropped Ealy off following the incident and returned to Lauer’s home with the PlayStation 5.

All charges against McKinley were held for court after his preliminary hearing June 13.

Ealy and Lauer’s preliminary hearing before District Judge Lewis Stoughton is scheduled July 18.
