Wolenski

Emily A. Wolenski, 86, formerly of Lyndora and the Sunbury Fields Apartments, died Thursday at Chicora Medical Center.

Born April 29, 1920, in Lyndora, she was the daughter of Matthew and Rose Krol Szwaja.

She was a merchandise receiver for the G.C. Murphy Store in Butler, and for the Ames Store in the Butler Mall. She worked for 20 years and retired in 1975.

She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and St. Paul's Guild and Christian Mothers. She was also a member of Tanglewood Senior Center and the 55 and Alive club.

Her husband, Frank T. Wolenski, whom she married Sept. 16, 1950, preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1996. She was also preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Surviving are a son, Dennis J. Wolenski and his wife, Sandra, of Romney, W.Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Margaret) Varney of Canada, Ky., and Mrs. David (Donna) Cassesse of Crystal Lake, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Piroch of Lyndora; five grandchildren, Mrs. Timmy (Marea) Hagedorn of Christiansburg, Va., Matthew J. Wolenski of Morgantown, W.Va., Nathan Varney of Pikeville, Ky., Loralie Varney Sorrell of Tennessee, and Shelby Cassesse of Crystal Lake, Ill.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Cunningham St.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
