BUTLER TWP — Lifesteps, a nonprofit organization based in Butler, received an $85,000 state grant, state Rep. Aaron Bernstine, R-10th, announced Thursday.

The grant is through a program called Pre-K Counts and is intended to fund half-day and full-day kindergarten services for Pennsylvania children between the age of 3 and the beginning age of kindergarten, who are at risk of facing challenges in school or who live in low-income families with English language learners or have disabilities.
