Stewart

Nancy M. Stewart, 75, of Butler passed away Monday at Allegheny General Hospital.

Born in Lyndora on Aug. 2, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William Earl and Mildred Barbara Radicanian Hackett.

A homemaker, she formerly was employed at Magnetics, Butler Armco and the Presbyterian Day Care in Meridian.

A longtime member of the Meridian United Presbyterian Church, she was a former deacon of the church, and she belonged to the Presbyterian Women's Circle and the sewing group.

She also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Kiley-Fischer and her husband, John, of Butler; one brother, Earl Hackett and his wife, Linda, of Butler; three sisters, Earla DeLess of Butler, Bonnie Milich and her husband, George, of Butler and Eva Nagy and her husband, John, of Butler; two sisters-in-law, Goldie Hackett of Butler and Patricia Hackett of Butler; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Stewart, who passed away Aug. 22, 1996, and three brothers, William, Thomas and David Hackett.

Stewart, who died Monday, March 29, 2010, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Meridian United Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., Meridian. The Rev. John Porter will officiate.
