8:10 p.m. Monday — Matthew McDougal, 19, of Lyndora was cited for violating the township's burning ordinance after he was found burning a mattress on Bessemer Avenue.Sunday — A gold with diamond linked bracelet was reported lost near St. Byzantine Church in Lyndora. Anyone who has seen the item is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.12:50 a.m. Saturday — Jason S. Scott, 30, of Chesterton, Ind, was arrested for driving under the influence after he was caught speeding and swerving on Route 422. In addition to DUI and speeding, Scott was arraigned on charges of driving with a suspended license and a lane violation, and placed in Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.Saturday — Carl McDowell, 58, was cited for violating the township's burning ordinance at his home on Abilene Lane.8:21 a.m. Friday — A student at the Butler County Vocational-Technical School is accused of choking another student during an altercation at the school. The suspect, a 17-year-old boy who police did not identify, is charged in juvenile court with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.The alleged victim, who police only identified as a boy, did not need medical treatment and returned to class following the incident.

3:35 p.m. April 30 — Jeannine Lynn Hentschel, 45, of McDonald, Allegheny County, was arrested on a felony fugitive warrant, following a traffic stop on Kline Avenue.A patrol officer had stopped Hentschel for driving a sport utility vehicle with an expired inspection when he learned about the warrant from Westmoreland County, where the suspect is wanted in connection with a case of theft by deception.Hentschel was placed in Butler County Prison until Westmoreland sheriff's deputies arrived to take custody of her. She remains in Westmoreland County Jail.She also is citing for the inspection violation and driving with a suspended registration.

Wednesday — Sharon L. Wagner, 28, of Butler was arrested on felony drug charges for allegedly selling heroin to a police informant in Butler earlier this year.Wagner is accused on two occasions between Jan. 1 and April 1 of selling 10 stamp bags of heroin, containing a total weight of 0.20 grams in each controlled drug buy.Wagner was arraigned on two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.She was placed in Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail, following arraignment.

10 a.m. Tuesday — A Slippery Rock High School student was arrested after a school security guard spotted a rifle and shotgun in the back seat of the student's pickup truck in the school parking lot. Authorities also found two full beer cans in the truck.The suspect, Cody M. Wray, 18, of Harrisville, was arraigned on charges of possessing guns on school property and underage drinking. Following arraignment, Wray was placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.1 a.m. Tuesday — Christopher M. Miller, 28, is accused of throwing a lamp that hit a 24-year-old woman in the head during an argument at the couple's home on Terra Drive in Middlesex Township. Miller is charged with simple assault and harassment.8:50 a.m. Monday — Robert Drake, 28, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 422 and Old Route 422 in Franklin Township.Monday — Dale E. Wiles, 41, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Hendricks and Glenwood Way in Center Township.1:25 a.m. Saturday — Edward Halagich, 39, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Holyoke Road in Center Township.12:38 a.m. Saturday — Ronald H. Parker, 46, of Bishopville, Md., was arrested for suspicion of DUI during a sobriety checkpoint on Route 8 at the Dollar General store in Center Township. Troopers also cited Parker's passenger Joseph E. Wiest, 44, of Butler.Wiest got out of the car as troopers were giving Parker a field sobriety test. When he refused officers' instructions to get back into the car, he was charged with disorderly conduct.

12:50 a.m. Monday — Samuel I. Steele, 23, of Freeport was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car struck a home at Route 128 and Franklin Street in South Buffalo Township. No one was home at the time of the crash. Steele suffered a minor injury.4:45 p.m. Saturday — Robert John White, no age given, of Kittanning was seriously injured when the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a tree along Bunker Hill Road in North Buffalo Township. White was cited for a lane violation.
