12:35 p.m. Feb. 20 - An employee at F.B. Leopold Co. at 227 S. Division St. reported someone pried the door open on the building in the overnight hours and took several laptop and console computers from the business. No estimate on the value of the computers taken was available.2:14 a.m. Feb. 19 - While on patrol, police discovered a pick axe sticking out of the hood of a vehicle owned by Randy Hart, 53, of 300 Walnut St. No damage estimate was given.8:23 a.m. Feb. 19 - John Walt Piotroiski, Jr., 23, of Pittsburgh reported someone overnight broke the windshield of his parked vehicle on West New Castle Street. Police believe the windshield was broken by a pickaxe that was used in another criminal mischief case that same evening.7:51 a.m. Feb. 17 - A vehicle driven by Sylvia D. Bennett, 45, of 102 Timberbrook Court and a PATCO Transit school bus driven by Audrey Mae Knauf, 58, of Evans City collided at the stop sign at Timberbrook Drive and Route 68. There were icy road conditions at the time, which caused both vehicles to slide at the stop sign, police said. Three children were on the bus at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported.12:29 a.m. Feb. 16 - Mark Francis Nardulli, 47, of Fombell, Beaver County, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop in the area of Walnut Street. Nardulli failed field sobriety tests and was later taken to Ellwood City Hospital for a blood analysis.3:48 p.m. Feb. 15 - Maria Ann Corridoni, 17, of Maplecrest Drive was pulling out of her driveway when police said she pulled in front of an oncoming school bus driven by Mary Ann Minter, 70, of Fombell, Beaver County. There were 16 children on the Kittanning-based PATCO Transit bus. No injuries were reported and the bus driver was able to complete her route.5:08 p.m. Feb. 14 - Melissa Anne Panei, 18, and Heather Marie Panei, 21, were arrested on drug-related charges after police and emergency crews were summoned to Panei's home at 128 Northview Drive by Heather, who believed her sister had overdosed on heroin. Melissa had been unresponsive and turning blue. Police said the two women apparently were using the same needle to inject heroin. Ambulance workers were able to revive the teenager, who refused to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

3:15 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by Amanda Custer, 21, of Harrisville struck an embankment on Route 208 in Irwin Township, Venango County. Custer, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.

8:30 a.m. Tuesday - The Mercer County Courthouse was evacuated and searched after authorities received a bomb threat from an unknown telephone caller. Several bomb-detecting dogs were used during a five-hour search, but nothing was found.
