Thursday — Kenneth J. Kelminsky, 28, of Renfrew was charged in two separate shoplifting incidents last month at the Butler Commons’ Walmart.
Police said Kelminsky on Sept. 28 used a knife to remove packaging from Pokemon cards and failed to pay for the merchandise valued at $106.63 at the self-checkout aisle.
He is charged with retail theft and possessing an instrument of crime.
Kelminsky is also accused of under-ringing eight items of merchandise Sept. 5 at the store. The items were valued at $59.72. He is charged in that case with retail theft and receiving stolen property.
Thursday — James P. Fettis, 47, of Valencia was charged with bouncing a check Aug. 15 at Baglier Buick on Route 8 south. The check for more than $600 was written on an account with insufficient funds.
Fettis is charged with a second-degree misdemeanor count of bad checks.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]
Tuesday — Gregory D, Kinney, 62, of Butler was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop last month 8 in Center Township. He was stopped about 1:20 a.m. Sept. 29 for speeding and crossing the double yellow and white fog lines on the on the 2100 block of Route 8.
Kinney admitted that he was coming from a bar where he had “a couple drinks,” according to court documents. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.122 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
Kinney is charged with driving under the influence, speeding, disobeying traffic control devices, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.
Sept. 28 — Michael J. Warsing, 34, of Sarver was charged with drunken driving stemming from a July incident in Center Township.
Police said they were called July 26 for a report of a man running on the side of Route 8 with no shoes or shirt and carrying red gas can. Troopers got there and found Warsing, whose car apparently had run out of gas and he was waving down other vehicles trying to get help.
The defendant admitted that he had consumed two alcoholic beverages earlier that day, according to court documents. He subsequently failed field sobriety tests and refused to submit to a blood test.
An evaluation by a drug recognition expert, documents said, determined he was impaired on alcohol and a narcotic analgesic.
Warsing is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, and careless driving.
Sept. 27 — Police charged Troy D. King, 43, of Chicora with being more than twice the state’s legal limit for alcohol following a traffic stop last month on the 500 block of Main Street in Chicora.
Police said they stopped King about 9:30 p.m. July 5 after seeing one of his car’s headlights not working, according to court documents. He failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level of 0.187 percent.
King is charged with DUI careless driving and a headlight violation.

7:33 a.m. Tuesday — An Emlenton girl was apparently injured when she lost control of her car and struck a tree along Education Drive in Cranberry Township, Venango County
An ambulance crew tended to the girl, who police did not identify. The teen’s mother later took her to UPMC Northwest hospital for further evaluation, according to a police report. The girl was wearing a seat belt. The car had to be towed. Police said the girl was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Kittanning[/naviga:h3]
5:48 p.m. Friday — Police seized 45 stamp bags of suspected heroin following a traffic stop on Route 28 north at exit 18 in South Buffalo Township. Charges are pending against two suspects, a 50-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, both of Kittanning, who police did not identify.
The charges includes drug possession of driving under the influence.
