The Butler Catholic girls basketball team posted a pair of victories recently, defeating Cardinal Wright 41-4 and St. Mary's 40-14.

Natalie Barkus scored 18 points against Cardinal Wright while Kailey Keep added 11 and Annie Hegedus six.

Barkus scored 12 points against St. Mary's with Morgan McLaughlin adding 10 and Olivia Wiest eight.

The Pittsburgh Huskies Pee Wee AA team suffered its first loss recently, dropping a 4-3 decision to the Southpointe Rinkrats.Troy Double, Matt Tomasovic and Alex Welsh scored goals for the Huskies. Goalie Clay Bachman made 18 saves.

Five Knoch elementary wrestlers placed in the open division at the Shaler Area Tournament recently.Eric Green won first place at 75 pounds, in the age 10-and-under class; Kameron Grassi was second at 45 pounds, 8-under; Michael Renaud was third at 95 pounds, 10-under while Hunter Oskin was third at 50 pounds, 8-under.Austin Warman placed fourth at 80 pounds, 10-under.
