9:40 a.m. Tuesday - Daniel Seitz, 28, was arrested on drug-related charges following a search of his Virginia Avenue home by Butler County probation officers.The search turned up two stamp bags of suspected heroin and nine empty bags of the suspected drug. Also found were two syringes and a Ketoprofen pill, a prescription anti-inflammatory drug. Seitz is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

4:25 p.m. Wednesday - A report of a creek behind the Lyndora Fire Hall on Whitestown Road turning green proved to be a false alarm.The green-marked water was due to ongoing dye-testing by the Butler Area Sewage Authority, according to police who along with the county's Hazardous Materials Team investigated the call.Police said the dye is non-toxic and will remain in the creek for a few days.

10:28 a.m. Wednesday - One person was injured when a car and a box truck collided at Route 8 and Sunset Drive in Center Township.John Maurin, 79, of Cranberry Township was taken with moderate injures to Butler Memorial Hospital after the car he was driving pulled from a parking lot onto Route 8, and was struck broadside by the truck driven by Shelby Kammerdiener, 20, of Grove City.Maurin, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.Wednesday - Vandals overnight drove through the playground behind the Penn Christian Academy on West Airport Road in Penn Township, and struck a playground sign.8:20 p.m. Tuesday - A Chicora area boy was arrested for allegedly exposing himself and urinating on another boy on Central Avenue in Chicora.Moments earlier, the 17-year-old suspect knocked the 15-year-old boy, also from the Chicora area, off his bicycle near Central Drive, police said.The suspect, who police did not identify, has been charged in Butler County juvenile court with indecent exposure3:40 p.m. Tuesday - Vehicles driven by a pair of 17-year-old Slippery Rock girls, who police did not identify, collided on Route 528 and North Franklin Street in Prospect. One of the girls, who was not wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
