Arrest warrant issued for woman accused of stashing drugs in pants
An arrest warrant has been issued for a Butler woman accused of stashing drugs in her pants.
Jouline L. Walker, 32, of Butler, is charged with two felony counts of drug sales and one misdemeanor count of drug possession after police said she admitted to having nearly four bricks of suspected heroin stashed in her pants.
After posting $50,000 bond, Walker failed to appear for her preliminary hearing Monday before District Judge William Fullerton, and a warrant for her arrest was issued.
According to charging documents, Walker was the passenger in a May 21 traffic stop on Route 8 near the Greater Butler Mart. Police said they stopped the vehicle for crossing lines on the road, and the driver later was found to be unlicensed.
The driver has yet to be charged or cited related to the stop. Police said Walker owned the vehicle and later gave them permission to search it at which time they found a suspicious cigarette pack.
“In that pack, (an officer) did observe a bundle of suspected heroin,” police said.
Police detained both the driver and Walker, and they brought Walker to a female correction officer at Butler County Prison to do a more thorough search of her clothes.
“At this time, she made an unsolicited statement that she had four bricks of heroin down the front of her pants,” police said.
Four bricks of heroin would be 200 stamp bags.
Police said during a later search of Walker’s vehicle, they found smaller amounts of suspected heroin matching the type found in her pants.
A new hearing date will be scheduled following her arrest.
