10:58 p.m. Friday — David T. Digiacomo, 40, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at the couple’s home on the 500 block of North Elm Street.
The victim told police that Digiacomo spit in her face and grabbed her by the neck, according to court documents. Police said she managed to pull away and call 911.
She later complained of pain from a scratch to the neck.
Police arrested Digiacomo outside the home. He was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
[naviga:h3]Butler Twp Police[/naviga:h3]
12:53 p.m. Monday — Vehicles driven by Cole Foertsch, 21, of Renfrew and Kathleen Cord, 52, of Crafton, Allegheny County, collided at the Butler Commons shopping plaza. No one was injured, but both vehicles had to be towed.
Monday — Casey S. Grunden, 26, of Grove City was charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident last month at a convenience store parking lot on New Castle Road.
Police said that around 6 p.m. on Nov. 1 Grunden pulled from a parked position at the Sheetz and rear-ended another vehicle. He is accused of fleeing the scene. Store surveillance video, however, was used to identify him, according to a police report.
Logan Siar, 21, of Oil City, Venango County was the other driver.
Grunden is charged with hit and run, driving with a suspended license, driving without a license and failing to stop and give information or render aid after an accident.
4:45 p.m. Friday — No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at Hansen and Cecelia avenues. Police said Hannah Lindell, 17, of Lyndora was cited for a stop-sign violation. Timothy McRoberts, 40, of Saxonburg was the other driver.
3:15 p.m. Friday — Melissa S. Heller, 49, of Chicora was caught allegedly shoplifting $105.34 in merchandise at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Police cited her for retail theft.
[naviga:h3]Middlesex Twp Police[/naviga:h3]
Dec. 10 — Joseph Workman, 57, of Middlesex Township was charged stemming from a traffic stop last month for speeding on Route 8. Police said his car was clocked traveling 62.6 mph in a 45 mph zone.
Workman, who allegedly smelled of alcohol, failed field sobriety tests, according to court documents, and he was taken to the Butler police station for a breath test, which he refused to take.
He is charged with driving under the influence and speeding.
Dec. 3 — Police charged an Ohio woman with bouncing a check for $496 in September and failing to pay for home improvement work at a property on Regina Street.
The defendant, Cindy L. Yoder, 43, of Louisville, is accused of passing a bum check on Sept. 6 at Kennihan’s Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning on Steiner Bridge Road. The check, according to court documents, was written on an account with insufficient funds.
She also allegedly failed to pay the business $900 for costs and labor of the home improvement work.
Yoder is charged with bad checks, theft by deception and theft of services.
[naviga:h3]State Police, Butler[/naviga:h3]
Monday — An unknown thief stole a package from a home on the 100 block of Hannahstown Road in Jefferson Township. The suspect, who is described as a white female, drove away in an unidentified silver sedan.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
