Butler Police6:45 a.m. Sunday — Brittany D. Williams, 19, of Jefferson Township was arrested on a bench warrant on West New Castle Street. She used a bogus name when she was first stopped. She was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant, and also charged with false identification to law enforcement authorities.11:47 a.m. Saturday — Gloria D. Maycock, 22, of Fenelton and a 12-year-old girl, who police did not identify, are accused of shoplifting at the Kmart store in Pullman Square. The pair allegedly took $167 in merchandise.Maycock and the girl are both charged with retail theft and conspiracy. Maycock also is charged with corruption of minors.April 12 — Police filed criminal charges against James H. Matson after he was seen April 7 speaking to a 4-year-old girl near her Morton Avenue home. A court order bars Matson from contact with the girl. He is charged with disorderly conduct and harassment.

Butler Twp Police12:30 a.m. Monday — Michael Hofmeister, 32, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Benbrook Road. He also was cited for driving at an unsafe speed and a lane violation.2:47 a.m. Sunday — Walter Kradel, 29, of West Sunbury was arrested for violating a 39-year-old Butler woman's protective order following a disturbance on Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora. Kradel was arraigned on a contempt of court charge, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.8:43 a.m. Saturday — Frank Marzullo, 38, is accused of assaulting his 45-year-old wife during an altercation that started at a township car, continued in his vehicle on Route 356 and ended at their Heather Drive home. The woman suffered minor injuries.Marzullo was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail.12:35 a.m. Saturday — Jefferson D. Draper, 30, of Butler was arrested for DUI on Route 422.2:09 p.m. Friday — Kurt V. Long, 44, of Butler is accused of lying to police who responded to a disorderly conduct call at Chesapeake Street and Bessemer Avenue. In addition to false identification to law enforcement authorities, police cited Long for public drunkenness.9:43 p.m. Thursday — Jeremiah J. Fornell, 32, of Adrian, Armstrong County, is accused of shoplifting items from Wal-Mart in Butler Commons. Police stopped Fornell in his car on South Duffy Road near Evans City Road after he fled store security. He is charged with retail theft3:24 p.m. Wednesday — No injuries were reported when a car driven by Kristopher Barkus, 21, of Butler struck the rear of a school bus that was stopped to let off children at Old Plank Estates. Police said 21 children were on the Valley Lines, Inc.-owned bus driven by Vikki Jo Fleske, 40, of Butler.

State Police, ButlerSaturday — Concession stands at the North Washington Township Little League fields in Washington Township were vandalized but nothing was reported taken. The vandalism happened between 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Saturday.

State Police, ClarionApril 5 — An unknown thief broke into a camp in Toby Township and stole more than $2,000 in property owned by an Ohio man. Among the items taken were a 48-inch flat-screen television, two Stihl chain saws, DVD player and Dewalt cordless tool set. The burglary on Mt. Airy Road about three-tenths of a mile south of Huey Road happened between 8:30 p.m. April 4 and 11 a.m. April 5.April 1—Several unspecified items valued at $400 were taken from a vehicle at a Lawsonham Road home in Madison Township. The theft occurred March 31 or April 1.

State Police, Mercer1:20 a.m. Saturday — Matthew R. Hinkle, 31, of New Castle is accused of assaulting a 32-year-old man at the Landmark Bar on Old Ash Road in Springfield Township.Police said Hinkle tackled Kevin Jon Crawford of Mercer outside the bar, causing Crawford to fall and hit his head on a railing. Crawford cut his head in the altercation. Hinkle is charged with simple assault and harassment.
