Monday - Jennifer McCabe reported someone overnight broke into a vehicle at her Pillow Street home and took a small safe containing personal documents, as well as a duffel bag containing books.Monday - Police reported Susan Lutz, 33, of 337 Wagner Ave. was charged with making false reports to law enforcement authorities. Police said Lutz on Nov. 14 told police her boyfriend had taken her car without permission. She told officers he was drunk and driving with a suspended license. Police later determined that Lutz had given a false report.

7:26 p.m. Friday - An Armstrong County woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on New Castle Road at Moraine Pointe Plaza.Christine Ruffaner, 58, of Worthington was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for unknown injuries in the crash. Her condition was not known this morning.Ruffaner was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her husband, David Ruffaner, 57, which collided with a vehicle driven by Janet McCrommon, 54, of Butler.Greenwood Village firefighters were called and cut through the wreckage to get Christine Ruffaner out of her vehicle. Another passenger in the Ruffaner vehicle, who police did not identify, was also injured in the crash.11:41 a.m. Wednesday - Kelly Shoup, 20, and Nicole Spamer, 20, both of Slippery Rock, were cited for retail theft after allegedly shoplifting undisclosed items at the Wal-Mart store at Butler Commons.

3:15 p.m. Saturday - Lucas Antoszyk, 20, of Whitestown Village, Butler Township, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a hit-and-run crash at Dinnerbell Road and Route 8.Caroline Cramer, no age given, of Butler told police a white Chevrolet Lumina had struck her car and a PennDOT sign. She said a man driving the Lumina drove off after the crash.But the driver, later identified as Antoszyk, returned as an officer was investigating the crash. The officer gave chase, with speeds reaching 100 mph. The officer, assisted by Middlesex Township police, was able to stop Antoszyk's car.

1:35 a.m. today - A car driven by Tammy Siceloff, 47, of Tarentum, Allegheny County, traveled off Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township and went over a steep embankment.9:25 p.m. Monday - Three people were injured when a tractor-trailer caused a chain-reaction crash on Route 422 at Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township.Police said the tractor-trailer, driven by William Mitchell, 44, of New Kensington, Westmoreland County, struck the rear of a pickup truck, driven by Gary Sweesy Sr., no age given, of Summit Township, which was stopped at a traffic light.The collision forced Sweesy's pickup into the rear of a stopped sport utility vehicle driven by Daniel Krynicki, 30, of Buffalo Township.Sweesy, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries. Krynicki and a passenger in his SUV, Jessica Krynicki, 31, of Buffalo Township, both wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.11:13 p.m. Monday - Numerous compact discs were taken from two vehicles on Kinzua Lane and Moore Road in Center Township.6:22 p.m. Sunday - A car driven by Kathryn Luppe, 76, and Peter Fazio, 27, both of Butler, collided at Route 8 and Kelly Road in Clay Township. Luppe, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.2:25 a.m. Saturday - Joseph Saeler, 35, of 115 Saeler Lane, Oakland Township, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Penn and Main streets in Butler. Saeler was placed in the Butler County Prison after police learned he was wanted on a warrant.8:45 p.m. Thursday - A car driven by Kariane Stuebgen, 17, of Winfield Township traveled off Neupert Road in Jefferson Township and struck a plastic fence owned by Ray Lassinger.

Monday - A wallet and other undisclosed items were taken from a vehicle on Ford City Road in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. The theft occurred between 2 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Monday.Saturday - About 10 compact discs were taken between Jan. 1 and Saturday from a vehicle at the Freeport Road home of Brett Hetrick in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.

9:24 p.m. Thursday- Police responded to a soda machine on fire in front of the Wal-Mart store in the Cranberry Square Mall along Route 19. The township's volunteer fire company put out the small fire.12:50 p.m. Thursday - Police responded to the O'Friel residence at 746 Jayview Dr. for a small electrical fire that was handled by the volunteer fire company.

2:17 a.m. Saturday - Dustin Allen Sloan, 20, of 134 Wagner St., Evans City, was arrested on driving under the influence-related charges following an traffic incident on East Grandview Avenue.11:01 p.m. Wednesday - Joseph M. Popson, 64, of 806 Elk Dr. Lot 13, Cranberry Township, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol after a police patrol noticed the man's vehicle drifting back and forth in the lane along South Main Street.3:30 p.m. Jan. 3 - Joanna McClymonds, 20, of 121 Harrison St., Evans City, reported someone slashed the back tire of her truck while it was parked on New Castle Street near Oliver Avenue.11:12 a.m. Jan. 1 - Martin Barkley, 47, of 112 South High St. reported someone slashed his blow-up Christmas Tree and Snowmen lawn ornaments during the overnight. The value of the holiday ornaments was estimated at $90.7:12 p.m. Dec. 30 - Robert E. Rich, Jr., 43, of Fombell, Beaver County, faces driving under the influence-related charges following a minor vehicle accident on West New Castle Street.
