12:11 a.m. Jan. 15 — Zachary S. Henshaw, 29, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence after he was pulled over on West Jefferson Street near Broad Street for not having his headlights on.
Henshaw later failed field sobriety tests, police said, and he was taken for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.139 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
In addition to DUI, he is charged with a lighting violation.

3:53 p.m. Monday — Jennifer L. Schrecongost, 44, of Cranberry Township lost control of her car and struck another vehicle while passing it on Route 422 between the Route 8 and Route 68 exits. After colliding, both vehicles hit the concrete barrier. The other driver, Jennifer Metzler, 34, of Butler, complained of minor injuries at the scene. Both vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Schrecongost for driving too fast for conditions.
11:10 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Amy Bono, 27, of Butler rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Route 356 near Moraine Pointe Plaza. Scott Pelton, 48, of Venango County was the other driver. No one was injured but Bono’s car had to be towed.

2:30 p.m. Tuesday — Brian J. Clarke, 25, of Zelienople lost control of his sport utility vehicle traveling north on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township and struck a guardrail on the left side of the highway. The vehicle slid across the road and hit the guardrail on the opposite side. Clarke was wearing a seat belt and he was not injured. Police cited him for disregarding traffic lanes.
7:47 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Tyler J. Schwartz, 24, of Harmony and a pickup truck driven by Dominic J. Patania, 29, of Morgantown, W.Va., collided while both vehicles were traveling south on I-79 in Jackson Township. No one was hurt but one of the vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Schwartz for driving too fast for conditions and disregarding traffic lanes.
5:37 p.m. Monday — Carolyn L. Wilkinson, 67, of East Butler lost control of his SUV and traveled over a rock wall along Valvoline Drive just south of Linwood Drive in East Butler. She had her seat belt on and she was not hurt. Her vehicle had to be towed.
3:33 p.m. Monday — An SUV driven by Cathi-Jo L. Muma, 37, of Linesville, Crawford County, rear-ended a pickup truck on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Neither Muma nor the other driver, Theodore S. Charles, 55, also of Linesville, was injured. Both drivers had their seat belts on. Police cited Muma for driving too fast for conditions.
2:57 p.m. Monday — An Allegheny County woman was badly injured in a rollover crash on I-79 in Lancaster Township. Diane L. Miller, 68, of Carnegie, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital with an apparent serious injury. Police said she lost control of her SUV and rolled over while southbound on the interstate.
9:03 a.m. Monday — A tractor-trailer driven by Carl E. Wickline, 47, of Kennerdell, Venango County, struck an SUV as both vehicles were traveling north on I-79 in Jackson Township. Neither Wickline nor the other driver, Cara M. Cavanaugh, 36, of Scenery Hill, Washington County, was injured. Both were wearing seat belts. Police cited Wickline for disregarding traffic lanes.
Nov. 18 — Joshua M. Taitano, 36, of Donegal Township was charged with having marijuana and other contraband stemming from a November traffic stop in Summit Township. Police said he was stopped Nov. 25 on Route 422 near the Jefferson Street exit. While police spoke to him they smelled marijuana coming from the car, according to court documents. He subsequently handed over a container with suspected marijuana and a marijuana pipe. Taitano is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
