7:54 a.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Therese Moeller-Cunningham, 52, and Clinton W. Scott, 40, both of Butler collided at Ridge and Pollard avenues.10:05 a.m. Nov. 25 — A car driven by Brian C. Miller, 20, of Butler stuck a utility pole along East Jefferson Street near Cross Street. Miller told police he lost control of the car when he dozed off following a long night shift, a police report said.

6:15 a.m. Thursday — A portion of Route 422 West was completely shut down for nearly two hours after a four-vehicle crash, blamed on icy conditions, on the Route 68 East overpass.The accident happened when a sport utility vehicle driven by Brian Hough, 39, of Dayton, Armstrong County, slid on the ice and struck the concrete median.The wreck set off a chain-reaction collision involving other vehicles driven by Kenneth Glasgow, 25, John Price, 43, and Yolanda Williams, 59, all of Butler.Hough was the only person hurt. Police said he suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.Police, meanwhile, reminded motorists to be careful this time of year when crossing bridges and overpasses, which will freeze before the road surface.

10:20 a.m. Wednesday — One person was hurt when a car struck a deer on Route 965 in Worth Township, Mercer County. The driver, Lyndsay M. Taylor, 27, of Polk, Venango County, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.8:15 p.m. Monday — An unknown black male with gold-filled lower teeth stole three designer handbags, valued at $358 each, from the Coach store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township.Police said the thief, who is about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and had a small beard, ran out of the store and jumped into a vehicle parked near the store entrance. The vehicle, driven by someone else, took off.The stolen handbags are described as red patent leather.Nov. 25 — A teenager's BlackBerry cell phone worth $200 was stolen from the Premium Outlets in Springfield Township.5 p.m. Nov. 23 — An unknown thief stole a Penn-DOT-owned stop sign at Harrisville and Kilgore roads in Worth Township. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.

12:01 a.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Ester Geguchadze, 46, of New Castle struck a deer on Route 422, just west of Church Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Nov. 10 — Someone used a Slippery Rock Township resident’s credit card to make $553 in unauthorized purchases.
