10:40 p.m. Thursday — Edward W. Freedline Jr., 40, of West Sunbury was arrested for driving under the influence after his van struck a parked vehicle in the 400 block of Zeigler Avenue. The crash forced the vehicle that was hit into the rear of a car that also was parked.
Freedline told police that he was on his way home, according to court documents, and that he had consumed “several beers.”
He subsequently failed field sobriety testing and was taken for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.141 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.
In addition to driving under the influence, Freedline is charged with accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle and careless driving.
11:06 p.m. Thursday — Aaron M. Amuso, 29, no known address, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute in the 100 block of Walker Avenue.
Police said they found the woman on the ground and crying. She told officers that Amuso hit her in the head and dragged her by the shirt in the street, according to court documents. The woman suffered minor injuries.
Amuso was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.
4:31 p.m. Tuesday — Jonathan J. Dillingham, 28, of Butler was allegedly found with drug contraband after police got a call for an unresponsive man in the 200 block of West Locust Street. Officers said they found Dillingham conscious but intoxicated. He was arrested due to his condition and searched. Police found him with a crack pipe, according to court documents.
The defendant was taken to the station and placed in a holding cell, where he allegedly spit, “causing a biohazard situation,” documents said. Police eventually took Dillingham to the Butler County Prison on an unrelated warrant. Officers said that while he was being driven there he spit throughout the rear of the cruiser.
He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, public drunkenness and criminal mischief.
Oct. 29 — Police charged Michael P. Brandon, 58, of Butler with bouncing a check earlier in the month at an auto repair shop on South Chestnut Street.
The check for $408.10 was written on a bank account with insufficient funds and passed Oct. 4 at Koeppen Alignment Service, according to court documents. The owner of the shop sent a certified letter Sept. 8 seeking restitution but to no avail.
3:08 a.m. Oct. 28 — Andrew W. Green, 36, of Butler was arrested for drunken driving after he crashed his car into a vehicle that was parked in the 400 block of Liberty Street. No one was injured. Green later failed field sobriety tests and was taken for a breath test that showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.209 percent. He is charged with DUI.
11:23 a.m. Oct. 27 — Tyrone L. Dicks, 37, of Butler was allegedly found with marijuana following a traffic stop on West Cunningham Street near Mercer Street. Police said they stopped him for making an illegal turn. The smell of marijuana coming from the car led to a search of the vehicle. Police said they found a bag of suspected marijuana in the center console. Dicks is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and failing to use turn signals.
10:26 a.m. Oct. 26 — Dilbert D. Fairweather, 35, of Butler was found with suspected marijuana after police stopped him for making an improper left turn in the 300 block of North Main Street. Police said Fairweather handed over to them a baggie containing what looked like marijuana, according to court documents. He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and a turning violation.
2:07 a.m. Oct. 18 — Christopher L. Ray, 45, of Butler was allegedly caught with crack cocaine after a traffic stop on Birch Street near South Chestnut Street. Police said the car he was driving was stopped because both taillights were broken.
Officers arrested Ray when they learned he was wanted on a bench warrant, according to court documents. A search of the car turned up suspected crack underneath the driver’s seat. On the vehicle’s passenger side floor, documents said, police found suspected marijuana and rolling papers.
Ray is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

9:07 p.m. Thursday — Karen C. Bryan, 51, of Butler was arrested for drunken driving after she rear-ended another vehicle on Route 8 north at Filbert Road. Justin Angus, 18, of Butler was the other driver. No injuries were reported.
Bryan was arraigned on charges of driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs, DUI and resisting arrest. She was released on her own recognizance following arraignment.
4:16 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Jamie Uram, 36, of Butler ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle at Ferguson and Linhurst avenues. Kristy Zinkham, 46, of Butler was the other driver. No one was injured but both vehicles had to be towed. Police cited Uram for a stop sign violation.
2:57 a.m. Thursday — Daniel Jaworski, 28, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a roll over wreck on South Benbrook Road. Police said he lost control of his vehicle and struck an embankment. Jaworski suffered a minor injury but refused medical treatment. Police said DUI charges are pending toxicology results from a blood test.

Thursday — Mark W. Holmes, 33, of Butler was arrested on charges he threatened and harassed a man via Facebook messages between Oct. 1 and 29 in Butler.
Holmes was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats and harassment. He was released on his own recognizance following arraignment.
State Police, Butler
Thursday — Daniel P. Morehead, 23, of Slippery Rock was charged with drugged driving stemming from an incident Sept. 18 in Butler.
Police said they found Morehead after being called about 9:15 p.m. for a report of a man asleep at the wheel of a pickup truck at North Monroe and Jefferson streets.
A trooper knocked on the window several times before the defendant awakened, according to court documents. He appeared impaired and failed field sobriety tests. Police took him to Butler Memo rial Hospital for a blood test.
Toxicology results, documents said, indicated that he had marijuana in his system.
Morehead is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and careless driving.
2:40 a.m. Tuesday — Alex R. Meza, 27, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his vehicle crashed into a ditch on Glade Mill Road at Clifford Lane in Middlesex Township.
Tuesday — An unknown vandal damaged a mailbox at a 33-year-old woman’s home in the 300 block of Kiester Road in Slippery Rock Township. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
