Police at the scene said the crash involved a Chevrolet Impala and the marked state police vehicle, but no other details were available. The accident slowed traffic in the area. Freeport EMS was dispatched to the scene, but was later recalled, according to Butler County 911 dispatch. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the wreck remains under investigation.
