10:15 p.m. Saturday — Eric D. Graham, 20, of Sarver was arrested for allegedly causing a ruckus at the Monroe Hotel bar on East Jefferson Street. When officers tried to handcuff the suspect, he struggled and had to be taken to the ground. He suffered a bruise to the left eye.Police later learned Graham was wanted on a warrant out of Missouri for a parole violation, the report said. He was arraigned on a fugitive from justice charge, and placed in the Butler County Prison pending extradition proceedings.12:57 p.m. Saturday — Two Butler women are in trouble for fighting with one another in and out of a car at Pillow Street and South Sixth Avenue. Melissa S. Graham, 21, told police the fight with Sara Jo Mentzer, 23, was over $32 she claimed Mentzer had taken from her after they had bought drugs.Police said when Graham was looking for her identification, four stamp bags of suspected heroin fell out of her wallet. Both suspects are charged with disorderly conduct. Additionally, Graham is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and Mentzer is charged with driving with a suspended license.8:17 a.m. Saturday — Richard B. Menchyk, 25, of Butler was arrested on warrants issued out of two states after police found him at a North Main Street apartment.Menchyk was arraigned on the warrants from Armstrong County and Trumbull County in Ohio as well as on a fugitive from justice charge, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.He also is wanted by Butler Township police for a retail theft case in January.5:31 p.m. Friday — Chad M. Spahn, 21, of Boyers was arrested after police were called for a report of an intoxicated man walking on the road at or near West North and North Washington streets. Officers found Spahn staggering at the intersection, where he was nearly struck by two cars.Officers had to use "minimum force" to place Spahn into a patrol car when he refused to get inside. More force was needed when he continued to resist officers at the station. The suspect suffered a small cut around the right eye.Police searched Spahn and found two used syringes, a spoon with suspected drug residue and a marijuana pipe. He was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.Thursday — William J. Shaw III, 20, of Summit Township allegedly stole a student's bicycle at the Butler Junior High School on East North Street. Shaw, who admitted taking the bike, faces a theft charge.

1:30 a.m. Saturday — Chad William Miller, no age given, of Marion Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Hallston Road in Brady Township.1:25 a.m. Saturday — Wayne Anthony, 68, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 68 and North Washington Street in Butler.Saturday — A Remington model 670 shotgun, shotgun reloading equipment, a Husqvarna chain saw and about $500 were stolen in a burglary at an Oberlin Drive home in Center Township. The break-in occurred between Feb. 28 and Saturday.Saturday — Eight people were arrested for drunken driving during a sobriety checkpoint conducted by state police and the Butler County DUI Task Force. In all, 78 vehicle were stopped between 11 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday.In addition to the DUI arrests, officers made one drug-related arrest, wrote 21 traffic tickets and issued 27 warnings.1:55 p.m. Friday — No one was injured in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction accident on Route 8 near Mercer Road in Center Township.The crash started when a car driven by Erica Proch, 20, of Greensburg rear-ended a car driven by Amanda R. Smith, 19, of Slippery Rock. The collision forced Smith's vehicle into the back of a car driven by Carl L. Best, 69, of Harrisville, which in turn hit the rear of a car driven by Heather S. Carter, 23, of Slippery Rock.Proch was cited for following closely to another vehicle.1:10 a.m. Friday — Michael Moffett, 21, of Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, was arrested for receiving stolen property after he was found in a stolen vehicle on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.Friday — A purse was stolen between 11:20 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from a vehicle at the Salvation Army parking lot in Center Township.9:09 p.m. Tuesday — Torrie L. Bish, 22, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Pillow and Bantam streets in Butler.Tuesday — An unknown thief stole a battery from an Ohio man's golf cart at the Slippery Rock Campground on West Park Road in Worth Township. The theft happened between Oct. 10 and Tuesday.6:15 p.m. April 2 — Larry Gail Evans, 49, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on North Main Street in Butler.April 2 — Brittany Dawn Williams, 19, of Butler is accused of taking a taxi from Pittsburgh to Butler and not paying the cab driver the $160 fare. Williams later allegedly broke into a home and took clothes and money before stealing pills from her grandmother's house.Williams faces charges including burglary, theft by unlawful taking and theft of services.April 2 — Unspecified items were taken from a vehicle parked on Chicora-Fenelton Road in Donegal Township. The theft happened April 1 or 2.March 21 — An unknown thief stole a .32-caliber Beretta pistol from a Portersville home. Police provided no other information about the theft that happened between March 18 and 21

1:50 p.m. Friday — Richard C. Fouse, 23 of Avonmore, Westmoreland County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 422 in North Buffalo Township.

Saturday — Police reported they are investigating the theft of a laptop computer and jewelry in a burglary last month in Wolf Creek Township.The burglar on March 25 or 26 forced open two doors at the Centertown Road home and made off with the property valued at $4,625.Saturday — Aluminum items worth about $300 were stolen between April 4 and Saturday from 107 Glacial Till Road in Liberty Township.
