Bish

Phyllis J. (Crissman) Bish, 69, of East Franklin Township, Armstrong County, died Friday in the Kittanning Care Center.

She was born April 15, 1940, in Adrian, Armstrong County, to Edward J. Crissman and Verdie (Akins) Crissman.

She was a graduate of East Brady High School and had retired as a home health aide.

She enjoyed cooking, crafts, working in her flower garden, going to camp and spending time with family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Duane Bish, whom she married Aug. 4, 1961. She also is survived by a son, Randy L. Bish of Greensburg and his fiancee, Julie Molnar; a daughter, Sandy L. VanDyke of Aspinwall; a daughter, Juanita (Rick) John of Worthington and a son, Brian S. Bish of Norwalk, Conn. She also leaves behind two brothers, Owen Dean Crissman of Andover, Ohio, and Edward Allen Crissman of Kittanning; as well as two sisters, Loretta (Jim) Kepple of East Brady and Nancy Gray of Worthington. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Randy, Nathan, Caitlin, Jacob and Kelly Bish, Sheena and Taylor VanDyke, and Elizabeth and Robert John.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Roger Crissman; sisters-in-law, Glee Crissman and Gloria Jean Crissman; and a brother-in-law, Robert Gray.

<B>BISH </B>— Friends of Phyllis J. (Crissman) Bish, who died Friday, April 2, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME</B> in Worthington. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Worthington, where the service will follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Sue G. Irons and Pastor Lawrence Camberg will officiate.
