5:53 p.m. Sunday — Ashley Huebner, 24, of Clairton, Allegheny County, reported that the back of the car she was driving was rear-ended by another vehicle at South Main Street and Route 8. The other vehicle did not stop after the crash that happened as Huebner was stopped at a red light. She described the hit-and-run vehicle as a green, small sedan, possibly an older model.6:03 a.m. Sunday — Ryan T. McCommon, 21, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence after police found him slumped over the steering wheel of a pickup truck in the 300 block of East Jefferson Street near Franklin Street.Police said the truck was parked on the side of the road but the engine was still running. An officer had to tap on the window to awaken McCommon. A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol was 0.154 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.12:10 p.m. Friday — Stephani M. Schroeder, 33, of Clay Township faces three charges stemming from an altercation at a home in the 100 block of Morton Avenue. Schroeder is accused of causing an altercation with the home's occupants, Joshua and Audra Fine. Police said she is charged with trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment.2:07 a.m. Feb. 8 — Two people were hurt when a car driven by Meghan Snyder, 23, of Butler crashed through a yard on Center Avenue and ended up against a utility pole.Snyder was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. Richard Abbott, 24, of Butler, a passenger, had minor injuries. Snyder and Abbott were both wearing seat belts. Police said Snyder was cited for reckless driving.

Sunday — Someone broke into a machine shop and garage on Rhoer Road in West Liberty and stole nearly $400 in property, including a hay bale pronger, chain saw and two fuel cans. The burglary and theft happened Saturday or Sunday.Sunday — An unknown thief broke into four storage trailers and stole two chainsaws and about 80 gallons of fuel from equipment at a home in the 100 block of Barron Road in Worth Township. The stolen property, taken Saturday or Sunday, is worth about $800.Sunday — An unknown would-be burglar tried to get into a building at a residence on Studebaker Road in Worth Township. The attempted break-in happened Saturday or Sunday.Sunday — A large television antenna valued at $200 was stolen from a camp on West Eldorado Road in Parker Township. The unknown suspect also caused $650 in damages to the camp after breaking a window and damaging a garage door. The crime happened between Feb. 17 and Sunday.Noon Saturday — An unknown driver did not stop after hitting a vehicle parked on Washington Street just east of Ludlow Avenue in Parker, Armstrong County.6:25 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Craig M. Bennie, 36, of Allison Park, Allegheny County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. Police said Bennie, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered a minor injury, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.12:34 a.m. Saturday — Michael D. Burtner, 29, of Butler was hurt when the car he was driving crashed and rolled over on Route 8 just south of Bucoco Lane in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Burtner, who was wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.11:43 p.m. Friday — Police said they had to Taser a car thief after he ran away from troopers in Butler Township.The suspect, Michael C. Summerill, 25, of Valencia was allegedly caught in the act of stealing a car on Whitestown Road just east of Lawrence Avenue.But when troopers tried to arrest him, he took off running through the neighborhood, police said. Police, aided by the Taser, nabbed Summerill after a brief chase.He was arraigned on charges of vehicle theft, fleeing to avoid apprehension, unauthorized use of a vehicle, resisting arrest, false identification to police, loitering and prowling at night and numerous traffic violations.He is being held in the Butler County Prison.10:25 p.m. Feb. 19 — Nathan G. Sommers, 30, of Harrisville was arrested after he repeatedly refused to leave the Ginger Hill Tavern on South Main Street in Slippery Rock. He was arraigned on charges of trespass, resisting arrest and public drunkenness, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bail.10:20 p.m. Feb. 16 — Alicia D. Snyder, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Main Street in Karns City.

7:30 a.m. Saturday — Bethany A. Case, 19, of Freeport was hurt when she lost control of her car on the snow and crashed down an embankment on Route 28, just north of Iron Bridge Road in South Buffalo Township. Case, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.State Police, Mercer7:40 a.m. Saturday — A minivan driven by Michael S. Beveridge, 58, of New Wilmington crashed into a ditch before spinning and hitting a tree along Interstate 79 in Springfield Township. Police said Beveridge was cited for driving too fast for conditions.6:10 a.m. Saturday — Devin L. Gilmore, 19, of Grove City lost control of his car and struck a utility pole along Route 258 in Liberty Township. The pole was sheared off in the crash. Police said Gilmore was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Feb. 18 — A cleaning woman uncovered a pistol underneath a mattress at the Microtel Inn in Springfield Township. Police described the gun as a Colt .22-caliber Woodsman model. Anyone with information about the pistol’s ownership is asked to call police at 724-662-6162.Feb. 16 — An unknown thief stole a Sony 40-inch television set from a Texas man’s sport utility vehicle at the Holiday Inn Express motel in Springfield Township. The suspect broke out the rear window to get into the vehicle between 7 p.m. Feb. 15 and 9 a.m. Feb. 16.Feb. 13 — Several prescription pills, a Sanyo DVD player and a Stihl chain saw were stolen in a burglary at a Heister Road home in Sandy Lake Township. The unknown burglar used an unlocked front door to get into the house between 11:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The stolen property is worth nearly $400.
