Tuesday — Police charged Jeffrey E. Perritt, 57, of Butler with running out on a bar tab last month. He is accused of failing to pay a $48.50 bill Sept. 11 at Looney Toones on New Castle Road.
Perritt is charged with theft of services.
Monday — Sanya L. Vantassel, 41, of Butler was arraigned on charges of having heroin and crack cocaine last month at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Police said she was found with the suspected drugs Sept. 21 when officers arrested her on multiple bench warrants.
A search of her purse, according to police, turned up 50 stamp bags of suspected heroin, two bags of suspected crack cocaine and assorted pills.
Vantassel was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail in the case was set at $10,000 bail.
[naviga:h3]Grove City Police[/naviga:h3]
11:30 a.m. Monday — A 17-year-old Harrisville girl lost control of her car and struck a utility pole along Greenwood Drive near Clark Street. She was not injured but her car had to be towed.
Police said the girl, who they did not identify, was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.
[naviga:h3]Middlesex Twp Police[/naviga:h3]
Tuesday — Chelsea Maroney, 23, was charged with assaulting her mother during a domestic dispute Sept. 25 at their home on Maple Drive.
The alleged victim told police that Maroney punched and slapped her about the face and pulled her hair, according to court documents. She suffered minor injuries.
The defendant is also accused of breaking a window screen in the altercation.
Police said when they got to the home shortly after 12:50 a.m., the defendant was in her bed. “She was very intoxicated and rambling about the events that occurred, documents said.
Maroney is charged was simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.
2:13 p.m. Saturday — Cynthia Geist, 49, of Butler was found with two pills for which she did not have a prescription following a traffic stop on Route 8 at Browns Hill Road. Police said they stopped her van for having an expired inspection sticker.
While Geist was looking through her purse, according to court documents, the officer noticed a pill bottle with the label removed. The bottle contained pills that were subsequently identified as acetaminophen and codeine phosphate.
She told police that a friend had given her the pills, documents said.
Geist is charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and driving without valid inspection.
