CRANBERRY TWP — A Jackson Township man is facing charges after allegedly forcing his way into a young girl's home and refusing to leave.

Dale Charles Rohrman Jr., 24, is charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after an incident July 14 at the Cranberry Pointe apartment complex off Haine School Road. On Friday he waived all charges to county court, where he'll be arraigned Sept. 12.

Cranberry Township police responded on July 14 to a report of a shirtless and shoeless white male who appeared to be highly intoxicated stumbling across the sidewalk, rolling in the grass and knocking on random doors on Cranberry Pointe Lane.

When an officer arrived, Rohrman ran into a nearby apartment and shut the front door behind him.

The police officer knocked on the door and a young girl, who appeared “visibly nervous and scared” answered, according to the affidavit. The girl indicated that Rohrman was hiding behind the front door and when asked by police to exit the house, he refused.

Finally Rohrman came out, and police said he had bloodshot, glassy eyes, slurred speech and smelled strongly of alcohol.

The girl said Rohrman knocked on the door and when she answered, Rohrman said he knew her mother and then forced his way into the house. The residents did not know Rohrman or invite him in, court papers said.

Rohrman posted $1,500 bail on Aug. 1 and was released from Butler County Prison.
